Drexel Student Film Project

A Drexel University film student is casting her student project, “Providence.”

“Providence” is an endearing story about the significant events that happen to a boy named Joseph at certain stages of his life. To Joseph these major events are under his control. Yet, as the audience watches, it becomes clear that the outcome of these events have been swayed in a certain direction due to the hidden actions God has intended upon Joseph's life. Are God’s plans always better than our own, even if it may not seem that way at the time?

She is casting for the following roles:
Joseph-8-10 years old
Joseph is a young and vibrant soul. Naive to much, but displays a warmth that everyone around him can feel.
Joseph-12-14 years old
He has an adventurous spirit but knows and respects his boundaries. He has great passion and is dead set on his goals once he has made them.
Joseph-24-28 yrs
He has an adventurous spirit but knows and respects his boundaries. He has great passion and is dead set on his goals once he has made them.
Joseph-60’s
Joseph has tried to maintain the same attributes he has carried since a young boy, but the world has dealt him a difficult hand. However, despite these set backs, he takes it upon himself to be the rock of the family.

All ethnicities will be considered. The filmmaker is most probably getting a SAG student film contract- both SAG and non-union may apply.

Auditions will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 19th and 20th. Shooting will take place in March.
